Crane operator • Poweshiek County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane operator in Poweshiek County, Iowa. You will work on a busy construction site. On a typical shift you will keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely. You should have: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
