Foundry operative — Yancey County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Yancey County, North Carolina. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Day to day you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
