Vacancy available: precision welder (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Caroline County, Virginia. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
