Overhead (EOT) crane operator — Pittsylvania County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The job is on a high-rise tower crane. On a typical shift you will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift.
