Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Lavun, Niger State. Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
