Tig welder • Audubon County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Audubon County, Iowa. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours.
