Immediate opening: argon welding operator (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Scott County, Iowa. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
