Vacancy available: concrete finisher (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Allen County, Kentucky. What we are looking for: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Day to day you will patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
