Sand plant operator — Otsego County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Otsego County, New York. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
