Single needle operator — Union County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Union County, Pennsylvania. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 1+ years on the tools preferred.
