Dogger — Escambia County

Now hiring: we are hiring a dogger in Escambia County, Alabama. You will work at a power plant. You will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles We offer $130 per day plus benefits.
