Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Gallatin County, Illinois. You will be based on a new-build development. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding You will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge.
