Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Grant County, Kentucky. On the job you will handle: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
