You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes The role involves: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
