Join our team: we are hiring a single needle operator in Monroe County, Illinois. You will work at a busy garment factory. Your main tasks: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
