Foundry labourer — Wayne County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. $9,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
