Single needle operator — Gloucestershire

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a single needle operator in Gloucestershire, England. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. The role involves: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
