The role involves direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
