Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Mills County, Iowa. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Willing to work shifts and overtime The role involves: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
