Horizontal milling machine operator • Rockland County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Rockland County, New York. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery On a typical shift you will read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
