Bar bender and fixer — Colfax County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Colfax County, New Mexico. Your main tasks: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
