Join our team: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Karasuwa, Yobe State. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather The role involves: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use Rotating shifts.
