Groundworker — Alleghany County

Join our team: we are hiring a groundworker in Alleghany County, Virginia. You will work with a civil contractor. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio On the job you will handle: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
