Argon welder — Ashe County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Ashe County, North Carolina. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Full-time with occasional weekends.
