Core maker — Hays County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Hays County, Texas. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Contact us to fix an interview.
