Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Wokingham, England. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Day to day you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Pay around £3,100 per month, based on your experience.
