Safety marshal — Scott County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety marshal in Scott County, Indiana. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date You should have: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
