On a typical shift you will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours.
