Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Union County, North Carolina. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
