Vertical transportation technician • Johnson County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Johnson County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota On a typical shift you will replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
