Join our team: we are hiring a wheel loader operator in City of Galax, Virginia. You will work at a road-building project. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination The role involves break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals.
