Structural MIG welder • Ottawa County, Oklahoma

Join our team: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Ottawa County, Oklahoma. You will be based at an automobile body shop. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day-to-day duties: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
