Moulder — Jim Hogg County

Now hiring: we are hiring a moulder in Jim Hogg County, Texas. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience.
