Furnace operator — Liberty County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Liberty County, Montana. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
