Join our team: we are hiring a groundworker in LaPorte County, Indiana. You should have: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites On the job you will handle: • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
