Immediate opening: precision welder (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Wythe County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Part-time with flexible hours.
