Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG welder in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. The job is at an automobile body shop. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Day-to-day duties: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions Part-time with flexible hours.
