We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather On a typical shift you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit.
