Fettler — Socorro County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Socorro County, New Mexico. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces 2+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
