Now hiring: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Hamilton County, Kansas. You will work at a busy bakery. The role involves boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; score the top of loaves before baking; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls. What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
