Tower crane operator wanted in Tama County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Tama County, Iowa. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. You will keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
