Furnace operator wanted in Ogo Oluwa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Ogo Oluwa, Oyo State. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
