Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Sedgwick County, Colorado. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Full-time with occasional weekends.
