Argon welding operator — Hong

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Hong, Adamawa State. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 6+ years on the tools preferred.
