Steam press operator — Clayton County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steam press operator in Clayton County, Georgia. You will be based in a busy laundry. On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets 4+ years on the tools preferred.
