Core maker — Mason County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Mason County, Washington. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
