Blocklayer — Effingham County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Effingham County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On the job you will handle: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
