Brick and block layer — Wise County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Wise County, Virginia. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Day to day you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $30 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
