Vacancy available: road roller operator (Michigan)

Join our team: we are hiring a road roller operator in Schoolcraft County, Michigan. You will work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures Six days a week, one day off.
