Construction labourer — Gallatin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a construction labourer in Gallatin County, Illinois. You will work on a road and bridge project. Day to day you will backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors. Ideal candidate: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times Full-time with occasional weekends.
